100% Sparkling Grasevina from Croatia.
Located in Croatia’s Slavonia region just south of the Hungarian border (SOHU), Grasevina is the versatile grape that has made its mark for dry & refreshing sparkling wine in Slovenia & beyond. The grape is also known as Welschriesling but not related to Riesling.
The juice goes through a direct press fermentation & weekly battonage for 2-3 months until it’s transferred to tank for its secondary fermentation using the Charmat method.
There’s a creamy texture despite its high acidity. The wine is elegant & bright, packed with yellow & green fruits and a punchy hit of citrus & green apple. Floral notes round out the spectrum of flavors.
Lately Grasevina has been nicknamed “Grasseco”, a reference to Croatia’s interpretation of Italy’s iconic sparkler!
