Laura Lardy is from a 4th generation winemaking family from Fleurie that embraced her winemaking heritage in 2015 after trying a different career path. In 2017, at the age of 27, she produced her first vintage, continuing the family legacy that began in 1870.
The wine is 100% Gamay, harvested in the pink granite soils of the Moulin A Vent, promoting a unique and vibrant acidity. The grapes are hand harvested and sorted then spontaneously fermented as whole clusters in concrete. The juice is then slow pressed over to oak to rest for 6 months.
There’s clean enticing flavors of pomegranate, cherries and plums, along with subtle hits of star anise and licorice. Floral notes of roses and violets jump out of the glass!
