100% Albariño from Rias Baixas in Galicia, Spain. Biodynamic, sustainable, organic, and naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts.
Alberto Nanclares and his wife Silvia uprooted from their home in Basque Country for a home on the Atlantic Ocean in Castrelo, Rias Baixas, Spain. Luckily for them their small home came with vineyards. The thought of viticulture nagged at Alberto and soon a winemaker was born! Alberto set up shop in his garage, turned to organic & biodynamic farming -- impressive given that this region is prone to viticultural difficulties -- and in a very short time Alberto became an Albariño master!
The vines in their vineyard are 25-45 years old and grown under a pergola which allows for airflow and sunshine. It’s like hanging the grapes on a wash line! Their Albariño is bright, zippy, and fresh with beautiful chalky & saline minerality, herbal notes and luscious stone fruit flavors.
