"Aransat" is the northern Italian Friulano slang for "orange". Two typical grape varietals of the region, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, are macerated on their skins for about 90 days. Collio, where Aaransat is located, is historically known for producing orange wines primarily Pinot Grigio based. This wine is a great entry point to orange wines with pleasant notes of apricot and citrus peel with a hint of almond. Very soft tannins at the end make it a great pairing with hard aged cheeses like Cabot Clothbound from Jasper Hill.
