The 2018 Board & Batten Estate Proprietary Red opens with aromas of plush blueberry, wild blackberry, ground nutmeg, and a perfumed tint of Earl Grey tea. A confirming palate of bold, dark-fruited flavors seams effortlessly with savory hints of black olives, fennel seed, and earthy white peppercorn. Enlivening acidity joined by round, velvety tannins makes for a delectable, lasting finish.
