The name “Rochettes” comes from a small parcel vineyard clustered with “little rocks” in the Anjou that inspired this blend of 80% Chenin Blanc, 10% Chardonnay, and 10% Sauvignon Blanc.
The philosophy at Couleurs du Breuil is to protect and retain the purity of the fruit with as minimal intervention as possible. Only the healthiest bunches make it to fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
The Breuil team utilizes hedges, trees, and low stone walls as natural windbreaks but it also serves as a network of pathways for wildlife to pass through their vineyards.
With its pear and stone fruit flavors, bracing acidity, and lushness “Les Rochettes” offers unbeatable value for a complex blend of two of the Loire’s signature grapes in Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc with France’s regal grape Chardonnay.
