The Tasca d’ Almerita family is one of Sicily’s oldest and revered now led by seventh generation Alberto Tasca.

The estate is located on north side on Mount Etna made up of four parcels , or contradas, a subdivision of land based on elevation , historical significance, and the age of past lava flows.

The primary red grape grown here is Nerello Mascalese which imparts flavors of cassis, berries, and a slight smoky element given the black volcanic soils that the vines thrive in.
