With only 1.0540 hectares (2.6 acres) in production, the vines for Cuvée Camille are located within La Roche du Py, an old-vine plot on the Côte du Py with shallow “roches pourries” soils and southwestern exposure. The grapes go through the same meticulous steps as our Morgon, except that the length of maceration in tapered wooden vats is longer. This cuvée was born when Camille Lapierre, (Marcel’s daughter and current co-winemaker) returned to the estate in 2013. It is also an hommage to her grandfather Camille (Marcel’s father).
