100% Muscadet from Loire, France.
From the heart of the Loire’s Sevre et Maine region comes a bright and tangy wine with over the top freshness and acidity and made with the obscure Melon de Bourgogne grape - Muscadet!
The chateau is a small 10 hectare vineyard near the village of Verton and one would be hard pressed to find a more natural and biologically diverse region for viticulture.
The grapes are from vines planted between 1940-1980 and fermented in stainless steel and aged for 6 months in underground vats.
The wine exudes flavors and aromatics of pepper, green apple, pear, and lemon zest.
Muscadet by itself is wonderful- with shellfish it’s a revelation!
