Winemakers Alex Krause and John Locke are alumni from Bonny Doon so they aspire to making wine from lesser known European varietals with a California spin and lower alcohol and higher acidity. This wine is made up entirely of Carignan, considered a workhorse grape in many blends in Europe. The grapes come from 99 year old vines in Lodi. Alex and John describe their wine as” a wickedly crunchy, squeaky clean cherry bomb of pink bubbly deliciosity!”
