The Dutch family the Clock emigrated from Holland they settled in the Languedoc and made an immediate impact with their wines. King Louis XIV was so impressed with their wines that he made the family French citizens in 1686!

The key to Picpoul ( or the tongue stinger!) is freshness. Today the Clock  ancestors hand harvest their grapes at night and put the grapes through a low temperature maceration to produce wines that have a richness but are bright and zippy with citrus flavors and peach. There’s also a touch of Mediterranean herbs and an oyster shell like salinity.
