100% Riesling from the Mosel, Germany. Organic.
Immich-Batterieberg is a small estate in the Mosel region of Germany, where many of the best rieslings in the world are made. The name comes from the founder of the estate, Carl August Immich, who chose to dynamite part of the hill between 1841 and 1845 in order to create terraces and plant vines. This is also what gives the estate its name, as Batterieberg tranlsates to Battered Mountain. This is a dry Riesling, and the entry-level cuveé for Immich-Batterieberg. The name CAI is simply the initials of the founder. Organic.
