Hanson Vineyards is located in the eastern central part of the Willamette Valley in the foothills of the Cascades. The winery is a four generations farm that grows all of their grapes on 16 acres of vineyards. They plant 11 different varietals and are firmly committed to using their own grapes for their small production. The winery produces 1200 cases a year, from Pinot Noir to the obscure Eastern European varietal Goluboh for their Council of Pigeons red blend.
The winery is a member of an 11 member group of wineries in the area called the Cascade Foothills Wine Group. Being off the beaten path of the major byways through the Willamette Valley, the group promotes their little piece of heaven and provide a welcome respite from the larger, busier wineries. If you want to taste a wine poured by the person who made it this is the place!
The Tre Sostre is an acknowledgment of the family’s Norwegian heritage and the three grapes of the Pinot family- Noir, Gris, and Blanc.
The wine is co fermented and makes a delightfully light fruit forward wine that is great by itself or with food, chilled or room temperature.
Vermont is the only state outside of Oregon where this wine is available.
